Careful restoration works were required
of Skinner at St Mary's Church Offwell.
Detailed works included lime plaster repairs,
architectural stone repairs, replacement
of oak lintels to windows, bespoke joinery
repairs to pews and doors and internal decorations
to ceilings and walls. This job, however,
entailed a little more than site foreman
Arthur Harrison expected - when carefully
removing some lime plaster, part of a rare
frieze, thought to be over 350 years old,
was uncovered.
