This imposing Elizabethan manor dating from
the 15th Century had been converted for
use as a hotel. The Grade 1 listed building
needed to be sympathetically restored to
its former use as a country seat and a comfortable
family home.
In a partnership style arrangement
with Clinton Estates own management, Skinner
was appointed as main contractor on an
open-book contract which enabled the design
of the restoration to be carried out progressively
within the construction programme. Skinner's
ability to create bespoke handcrafted
joinery coupled with their skilled artisan
masonry enabled an extremely high-quality
final specification.
